Although L.W. Schneider earned its reputation primarily from the manufacture of precision parts for the firearms industry – an industry which demands exacting tolerances, consistency and repeatability -- virtually any part that can be produced from aluminum, steel or plastic is probably within the range of our capabilities.

L.W. Schneider can take your part all the way from concept to production including (as necessary) reverse engineering of existing parts without blueprints, some small assembly, and some finishing and packaging. Special non-standard and custom designed products are no problem, either. Our production equipment includes:

• State of the art CNC equipment, both vertical and horizontal mills and horizontal lathes, capable of remarkable speed, amazing repeatability, and tolerances as tight as .0001.
• Standard machining equipment for specialty operations including mills, lathes, drill presses, punch presses, saws and MIG welders.

Inspection Process
Because quality is our hallmark, our quality assurance program is designed to meet the rigid Mil Spec requirements established by the United States Government. MIL-I-45208 guides the entire production process from purchasing through shipping. All inspection tools are regularly calibrated and the accuracy is traceable to the National Bureau of Standards.
